The beautiful unspoilt seaside town of Criccieth provides the perfect base for exploring both the Llyn Peninsula and the Snowdonia National Park, both areas of outstanding natural beauty. Criccieth has two beaches, the West beach which is sandy and the East beach which is pebbly and sits snuggled up to the castle rock of the lower town. Unwind, and discover all the magic that Criccieth itself and it’s landmark castle have to offer or hop on board the Cambrian Coast Railway – for a fabulous ride along this stunning coastline.

Holiday Information

Day 1

Arrive at the Lion Hotel in the beautiful unspoilt seaside town of Criccieth and its beautiful Castle and Beaches.

Day 2

We travel North to the Isle of Angelsey, first stop atLlanfairpwll....gogogoch for Coffee and the Pringle Wollen Mill then through Snowdonia to Llanberis and join the train up the highest mountain in Wales ‘Snowdon’.

Day 3

Day at your leisure to explore Criccieth or why not join the Cambran Coast Railway to either Pwllheli where there will be a market, Barmouth in the opposite direction or even the pretty fishing village Aberdyfi.

Day 4

Journey through the beautiful Welsh counryside, stopping off at Bala for a coffee, our destination is ‘The Stream in the Sky’. Sail along the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct on a barge! After lunch in Llangollen our return journey takes us back to Corwen where we pass Betws y Coed for you to briefly explore. The final part of the day takes us through the Crimean Pass and back to Criccieth for a well earned Dinner.

Day 5

Return - our journey home.
