Glastonbury

New Destination for 2020

Mention Glastonbury to anyone and automatically it conjures up images of the famous festival which takes place here every year. But there is so much more to this area which is situated on the low lying Somerset Levels. Dating back to the Neolithic times, Glastonbury was an Iron Age village close to the River Brue and attracts people with New Age and Neopagan beliefs, which is why it is notable for many myths and legends from the Holy Grail to King Arthur. There is plenty to do in Glastonbury which includes a town centre hosting many varieties of shops and cafes to the famous Tor (partial remains of an old church) which overlooks this area with breathtaking scenery.
